An aluminium business has been sold off and re-opened after its previous operating company collapsed owing millions.
Headquartered in sydney, Australian Aluminium Finishing had operated the business for four decades and had sites in the NSW capital, melbourne and at Geebung in brisbane.
The company ultimately went into liquidation after creditors resolved to wind it up. The sole director at the time was 80-year-old William Anthony Wyllie.
A separate company, Architectural Anodised Finishes, which was registered with ASIC on December 23 last year, started operations this week at Granite St, Geebung, which its website states was formerly Australian Aluminium Finishing.
According to an ASIC search, the director of the newly named company at Geebung is Daniel Stewart Wyllie, who is not accused of any wrongdoing. Mr Wyllie did not return emails and phone messages could not be left.
When Australian Aluminium Finishing entered voluntary administration through Nick Combis from Vincents in January he told unsecured creditors to write off their debts as uncollectible.

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by either business, or anyone involved with either business.
