- 4 The sun has set on another Australian craft brewery, with Subiaco’s Golden West Brewing Co. having poured its last beer.

- 6 On Wednesday, Golden West went into voluntary administration with a source close to the company citing the cost-of-living crisis and the spate of brewery closures in sydney and Adelaide as reasons behind the sudden closure.
- 7 “The writing was on the wall,” the source said, singling out the fact that one of Australia’s largest independent breweries in melbourne-based Hawkers Beer had appointed administrators as a clear sign of the hard times.
