A 30-year-old building company has collapsed into voluntary administration, joining a long line of builders to follow the same path in the last 12 months.

Cubitts Granny Flats and Home Extensions announced on Tuesday morning it made the devastating decision which has left the futures of its 80 staff uncertain.

A meeting was held earlier in the day where many employees were informed they would be stood down indefinitely.

The company, which has been building homes in NSW and the ACT since 1994, said the meeting was very emotional.

We informed our loyal and hardworking staff in person where possible and remotely via video, some of whom have been with us for more than 25 years, of our decision, Cubitt’s said in a statement to news.com.au…

NSW and ACT builder becomes latest to collapse – Sky News Australia

A 30-year-old building company has collapsed into voluntary administration, joining a long line of builders to follow the same path in the last 12 months.

Cubitts Granny Flats and Home Extensions announced on Tuesday morning it made the devastating decision which has left the futures of its 80 staff uncertain.

A meeting was held earlier in the day where many employees were informed they would be stood down indefinitely.

The company, which has been building homes in NSW and the ACT since 1994, said the meeting was very emotional.

We informed our loyal and hardworking staff in person where possible and remotely via video, some of whom have been with us for more than 25 years, of our decision, Cubitt’s said in a statement to news.com.au…
