Russian court refuses to recognize JFC ex-CEO Kekhman’s bankruptcy in UK – RAPSI

MOSCOW, November 9 (RAPSI) – The Commercial Court of North-West District has upheld a lower courts decision refusing to recognize ex-CEO of JFC Group Vladimir Kekhmans bankruptcy, declared by the High Court of London, valid in Russia, according to court records.

On August 3, the   St. Petersburg Commercial Court ruled that Kekhman had not provided sufficient evidence of the London courts ruling coming into force in accordance with the Commercial Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. In addition, there is no evidence of London court recognizing rulings of Russian courts declaring Kekhman bankrupt on territory of Russia.
