Western sydney transport company winds up and in the hands of Sydney liquidators BRI Ferrier
Freeman Freighters, founded in 1988 and based at Glendenning, NSW, has joined the list of road transport companies to close its doors.
At a general meeting on August 14 with company members it was resolved that Freeman Freighters be wound up and that Jonathon Keenan and Peter Krejci of BRI Ferrier in Sydney be appointed liquidators.
Key Freeman Freighters principal Kevin Yau is also a lawyer with legal firm LW Williams and Associates.
Prior to closing its website and social media pages, Freeman Freighters boasted that, “with a wide range of purpose built vehicles, we offer an unparalleled service, specialising in full load interstate logistics nationally”.
The business closure follows an accident three weeks prior on July 20 where Freeman Freighters’ driver Jimmy Mairaro-Pi from Henty was fatally injured in a B-double collision at Tarcutta, NSW.
Originally from New Zealand, Mairaro-Pi was aged 61.
