A perth jetski and quad bike dealership has stumbled in liquidation, calling in experts Greg Prout and David Hurt from WA Insolvency Solutions to sift through its affairs.
Late last month the Seadoo WA Pty Ltd, trading as Sea-doo Sport and Leisure, made the decision to call in liquidators from WAIS after struggling to get its hands on new stock to sell and service.
The Bayswater-based dealership hit the wall owing $1.2 million, according to Mr Prout.
The company, which lists Martin Barber as its sole shareholder, opened shop in November 2020 and previously employed nine staff.
“The director advises difficulties in obtaining units to sell and service due to funding,” Mr Prout said commenting on the liquidation.
The business specialised in selling and servicing Seadoo-branded jetskis alongside quad bikes and other off-road vehicles under the Can Am brand.
Seadoo branded jet skis typically fetch north of $10,000, with cashed up FIFO workers among the customers for the watercraft.
Those two brands fall under the umbrella of Canadian manufacturer Bombardier Recreational Products, a major player in the industry.
