Virgin Australia’s first flight to Doha is set to take off from sydney on Thursday almost two years after its strategic partner, Qatar Airways, was blocked from expanding its flights in and out of Australia.
VA 1 is scheduled to depart Sydney at 2.50pm, more than five years after the pandemic shut borders and sent Virgin into voluntary administration. Flights from brisbane and perth to Doha are set to follow this month, and flights from melbourne are scheduled for December.
